What we do

Strategy, content, design, engineering, and ecommerce. We bring in what the project needs.

Content & strategy

Information architectureContent modelsCopywritingVoice and tone guidesPhotography

Before design starts, we decide what the site needs to do, who it serves, and what it has to say. Then we write it. For St. John's, that included a voice guide the school still uses, so new copy continues to sound like the school.

Design

Identity and logo workInterface designDesign systemsArt direction

We start with the customer's next step, then design an interface that belongs to the business. Jeremy Williams came to us without a brand of his own, so the identity became part of the finished site.

Engineering

Websites & web applicationsContent management systemsCustom systems & integrationsMigrationsPerformanceAccessibility

Established platforms, content management systems, and custom stacks are all on the table. We match the technology to the people running it, the features it needs, and the budget available to maintain it.

Ecommerce

We're Shopify Partners with deep experience in ecommerce. We build and improve stores, plan catalogs and collections, migrate products and customers, and connect the systems that handle inventory, subscriptions, fulfillment, and marketing.

How we work

Every phase ends with something you can review

Your board gets clear decisions to approve. Your staff knows what we need from them and when.

PhaseWhat you get

Inspiration & insights

A close read of useful sites in your category and the patterns worth carrying forward

Discovery

A requirements document, a prioritized feature list, and a project timeline

Design & planning

A navigation prototype, visual designs, a content map, a technical plan, and a migration roadmap

Build & launch

A tested site, launch plan, documentation, and everything your team needs to run it

We agree on what success means before anyone opens a design tool. For St. John's, it meant 3 things: staff could update the calendar without help, families could use the website instead of Facebook, and prospective parents had a clear path from interest to a campus visit.

You'll hear from us at least once a week. We'll walk through the important decisions in person or on a call, with time for questions.

What it costs

Most projects take one of these shapes.

You can also hire us for discovery on its own

In 2 weeks, you'll have a content model, a sitemap or store architecture, and a design direction that are yours whether you build with us or another shop. If you continue with us, the discovery fee comes off the project price.

Tell us which shape sounds like yours, or tell us you're not sure. We'll send a number for your project within 1 business day.
